Music Ministry

Music Ministry

Psalm 92:1-4 tells us, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praise to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work.”

Music is a “universal language” when mere spoken words fail us. The exciting sounds of organ, brass, percussion, and voices lifted to God in praise inspire and lift people’s hearts to a higher spiritual level and provide a deeper expression of our faith.

Our music program is graduated to provide opportunities for all to participate, from the youngest of children through adults of all ages. It incorporates almost every kind of musical genre, while always remaining focused on the Biblical message of the Gospel. We look forward to harmonizing with you in Music Ministry!

Our goal is to present music that glorifies, edifies, and ministers to the people who worship with us.

Special Events – Worship Through the Arts

We strive to worship our Lord through the beauty of his music with special works at Christmas and Easter. We present our concerts with the accompaniment of various professional instrumental ensembles, joined by friends from our community and guest soloists in a community chorus. The major works we have presented in the past have included “The Messiah” by Handel (both the Christmas and Easter portions), the “Requiem” by Faure, “The Christmas Oratorio” by Saint Saen, and “Elijah” by Mendelssohn, to name a few. Our special events programs are an excellent way to witness the glory of the Lord in music or to participate in the choir program with a smaller commitment of just a few weeks. Join us and give your talents back to the Lord.
